Rink Hill was planned with the site’s spectacular views firmly in mind. Perched on a steep south-facing slope, the building’s curved glass façade creates a dramatic panorama of forest, hill and sky. The site is located in open farmland on the outer curve of a hillside. A main focus of the build was to utilise natural products in the finishing material pallet. We were delighted that Stuart Davidson Architecture won the Commended award for Rink Hill under the Alan King Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology at the AT Awards in London this September. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in Architectural Technology nationally and internationally.
We recently built Rink Hill. A holiday lodge on our farm in the Scottish Borders. The bespoke design included a curved front which meant a complicated roof design. Lynn took time looking over our plans and was able to provide advice and find a solution using insulated profiled sheeting with associated flashing and fixings. We would highly recommend Lynn-4-Cladding.
